Hi friend!!
We have the FIRST of the monthly virtual art exploration workshops happening THIS SATURDAY at 11a central time. I’d love love love to see you there. Even a quick pop-in to say hi is always welcome!
Welcome to the wonderful world of expressive arts!
Expressive/exploration/therapeutic arts is a modality that uses art as a way to connect with ourselves on a deeper level. By engaging in expressive arts we learn to trust our process, contextualize emotion, ground ourselves in the present moment, and express ourselves freely and openly. Idk about you but I need an encouraging space to feel comfortable practicing trusting my creative process in. This is where we get to do that! This workshop has helped me and attendees experience the safety that lies in creative instincts.
In this workshop, we will be using mindfulness, art exercises, journaling, and play. The materials we will use can be found within your home. All you’ll need is paper, your preferred medium(I use colored pencils), a pen, and some tape.
About me:
Hi! I’m Alex Brookhouse! I’m a multidisciplinary artist and certified therapeutic art life coach based in the Midwest. 4 years ago I embarked on a deep healing journey that resulted in transforming my personal art practice into a way to help others connect with themselves. I have hosted art explorations for over 450 people worldwide. I host monthly virtual and in-person workshops and guide clients on a one-on-one basis. Contact Me for any inquiries or to say hi!
I encourage you to share this newsletter with someone you know who might resonate with having a good time and making art. This monthly forum is donation based with a suggested donation of $15 via venmo, cash app, or zelle and hosted via Google Meet. You can always reply to this email to get the information. I’m trying to work out the beeeest way to do this so if anyone knows how to set up squarespace for events please reach out too! It takes a village!
